Returning by popular request, the James Madison University Opera Theater brings its annual 'Best of the Season'
show to our stage once again. This annual tradition has become one of PAL's most popular events.
Under the direction of Dr. Don Rierson, award winning and scholarship students will perform a showcase recital of
Opera and Operetta scenes such as, Die Fledermaus, Don Giovanni and Candide. Show tunes will include selections
from Porgy and Bess, Show Boat, Chicago and My Fair Lady, among others.
The Opera Theater provides main stage and workshop opportunities for performance majors at the university.
The program has attracted outstanding graduates and undergraduates from prominent national and international
arts high schools, universities and conservatories.
