Shenandoah Valley Acoustic Roots Festival
and Songwriting Contest

Performance at The BB&T Center for the Performing Arts
One East Main Street, Luray, VA

 

Tickets for the Festival are $12 Adults, $10 Seniors, $6 under 18 years old

Cash bar will be available in our "Vault" during the 5 pm show and wine & beer will be available on the plaza from 2:30 pm to 5 pm

 

Congratulations to the top ten finalists of the first Shenandoah Valley Acoustic Roots Songwriting Contest! The competition was extremely close, and there were many fine songs submitted, but our preliminary judging panels had to narrow it down to ten. Here they are, listed alphabetically, with their town and state, and the name of their song.

Judging and Performing at the Acoustic Roots Festival will be award-winning songwriters Chuck E. Costa and Beaucoup Blue, along with Pops Walker. Also judging the contest will be Cheryl Mansley with RiverHouse Concerts and Doug Wandersee with WMRA radio station.

 

Pre-festival activities will start at 2:30 pm on the BB&T Center plaza. It will be an free opportunity for the public to listen to the finalists and network with other songwriters. Food, beer, wine & soft drinks will be for sale on the plaza.
